Job Description

This role constructs, repairs, and maintains roads, pavements, and transportation infrastructure. The duties listed include pothole repair, asphalt laying, trench digging for utility cables, operating machinery such as cement mixers and rollers, painting road markings, setting up traffic controls, and winter maintenance.

• Construction and repair work, including paving and resurfacing roads, laying kerb slabs, repairing broken paving stones, and filling potholes.
• Utility and structure support, including digging trenches to install or repair gas, water, and electrical services, repairing drainage systems, and building tunnels.
• Safety and traffic management, including setting up barriers, traffic lights, and road signs.
• Machinery operation, using tools such as pneumatic drills, tarmac sprayers, and rollers.
• Maintenance work, including maintaining roadside verges, cleaning debris, and cleaning traffic signs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in road construction or a related field is preferred.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of construction techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Salary: 12.48 per hour
• Working hours: 40 hours per week (173.33 hours per month)
• Overtime paid at x1.5 the base rate (if any).
• Bonus: 4 bonuses paid in March, June, September, and December; Euros 135 each.
• Probation period: 03 months; contract duration: 1 year.
• Leave / sick leave: 24 days of leave in addition to public holidays; paid sick leave up to 13 days.
