Buyer (Contract)

Location: Racine, WI (On-Site)

Employment Type: Contract (6 months, potential extension based on business needs)

Compensation: $30–$35 per hour

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Buyer for a 6-month contract opportunity supporting a manufacturing supply chain team. This role will focus on purchasing raw materials and commodities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring smooth order flow within an ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

• Support purchasing team with day-to-day procurement activities
• Place, track, and follow up on purchase orders
• Work directly with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Maintain and update purchasing data within ERP system (JDE)
• Assist with data entry, reporting, and order management
• Support supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of buying or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• ERP system experience required
• Strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
• Experience working with suppliers and managing purchase orders
• Bachelor’s degree (supply chain or related field ideal)
